Jenny LaBaw: Move Mountains We encourage everyone to sign up for the Move Mountains workout on October 19th! Jenny LaBaw is a dear friend of ours who inspires people all over the world. She is a phenomenal person and athlete who is brining awareness to epilepsy. Last year, she ran 500 miles in 30 days across the Colorado Rockies for epilepsy awareness and on October 19th, she is celebrating the 1 year anniversary of the completion of her 500 miles. Please join in raising awareness for the 1 in 26 people who are living with epilepsy by coming together as a community!
Many thanks to Nat Arem and his team at hookgrip for the world-class video and photographs he’s taken over the years of Invictus athletes on the platform. A couple of weekends ago in Pennsylvania they captured Maddy Myers’ clean and jerks, which helped her set new American Records in both the Clean & Jerk (118 kg) and the Total (206 kg).
The push-up can go anywhere with you – it’s one of the staple movements of the fitness world. But, are you doing it correctly or are you putting your body in a potentially harmful position when doing this movement?
If someone told you that you could improve your athletic performance by wearing headphones for 15-20 minutes during your warm-up, would you believe them? I was skeptical, but after more than a dozen competitive Invictus athletes used Halo Sport for 3-4 weeks, the results were undeniable. We didn’t change the training program or plan for PRs…but they kept happening. This is a game changer for athletes!
